GAINESVILLE, GA (May 14, 2024) – The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of manufacturing. Kubota has been awarded SME’s 2024 Excellence in Manufacturing Training Award. This award was established to showcase manufacturing leaders and provide outstanding benchmarks for companies seeking to build a workforce strategy. This is all due in part to Kubota’s commitment and dedication to upskilling its workforce, enhancing talent, and preparing new and existing employees for a successful career.
Kubota is proactively seeking out local academic partnerships to build a talent pipeline to fill open roles. Currently partnering with 14 local high schools and surrounding universities, Kubota involves 65 students in the Work-Based Learning Program and 26 summer college interns within its organization. In addition, Kubota has developed specialized training programs to ensure that employees receive hands-on experience and have access to the latest knowledge in manufacturing technologies.
With a commitment to workforce development that extends beyond its immediate needs, Kubota showcases dedication to long-term growth and skill enhancement. Such dedication is also proven within Kubota’s investment in education and training, which contributes to the broader goal of strengthening the manufacturing sector as a whole.
